How do I set up an MX record?

An MX record routes the flow of mail traffic for your domain name to the appropriate mail servers.

If you want to host your email with Netorigin, but host your website elsewhere then you will need to set up the following records with your Domain Name Registrar (who you have purchased your domain name through):


A Record

The A record you need to set up is:
mail.yourdomainname.com.au pointing to Mail Server IP Address (found in the Welcome email we send you).


MX Record
The MX record is:
yourdomainname.com.au goes to mail.yourdomainname.com.au
MX priority 0
